Last week, we decided to throw a little surprise Valentine's Day party for our children. With limited time on our side, we decided to keep it simple and sweet. We created lots of handmade decorations using pretty papers, book pages and hand-painted lettering. The doilies on the table were painted red and set with paper plates cut in the shapes of hearts and pink paper napkins. Each plate had a little pink heart-shaped cake pop with a felt arrow skewered through the middle. Milk was severed in little mason jars decorated with paper doilies and twine. We made red heart shaped ice-cubes which turned the milk pink....much to the kids delight.
The sweets were kept simple with a strawberry cream cake, cupcakes, mini meringues, heart-shaped fairy bread and lots of pink and red lollies. The tables was simply decorated with a few hand drawn tags and single roses in little jars.
The kids were entertained with a Valentines Card station where they got to make a bunch of Valentines cards , and with photo props for some cute photos. They all had so much fun playing, crafting and filling their bellies with yummy sweet treats.
Hope you have a lovely day today. Happy Valentines Day!
Love
